South Australia is a hub for arts and culture and July’s offerings are no exception.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide clocked its lowest temperature — 0.6 degrees Celsius — since 1908 on July 3, so On The Record has compiled a guide filled with activities and events to warm your spirits amidst chilly days and frosty nights.
SA kicked off July with Gluttony’s Glenelg Winter Arts Festival, where bay goers can experience the Fringe on a smaller, cosier scale.
Keeping in theme with the arts, The Australian Ballet is hosting a three-part show Jewels in a weeklong residency at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.
July also spotlights a range of local, national and international artists. OTR has rounded up a handful of gigs and music festivals, from nights of indie rock sounds at the much-loved Crown & Anchor and The Queens Theatre to Adelaide’s “spin off” of recently cancelled Splendour in the Grass.
This month, there is also a selection of curated markets and wine events to experience.
Navigate the arts, festival, market and music scene this July with On The Record.
