The Wombats is a staple noughties indie rock band returning to Adelaide this month.

The success of their 2015 single “Greek Tragedy proves their relevance ten years on, as the song has gone viral on TikTok several times over.

The British three-piece band will hit the stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on September 21.

After landing in the top ten of triple j’s Hottest 100 of Australian Songs, Paul Kelly proves himself to be nothing short of iconic.

His 1996 track “How To Make Gravy” achieved cult-like status for its prominence at Australian Christmas celebrations.

Paul Kelly is set to play at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on September 4.

The Moving Stills is a Central Coast-based pop band that specialise in vibrant melodies and nostalgic sounds.

The band encourage listeners to play its music when cooking minestrone, finishing a game of Monopoly, or driving to pick up a bargain from Facebook Marketplace.

This vibrant act will be playing at JIVE on Saturday, September 6 at 7pm.

History and Culture

The Royal Adelaide Show will be celebrating its 100th anniversary at Wayville in 2025, an event certainly worth recognition.

The show runs from Saturday, August 30 to Sunday, September 7, giving South Australians plenty of time to head down to Wayville to see what it has to offer.

The Migration Museum will be hosting a History of Migration to South Australia touron September 11.

This hour-long tour explores South Australian migrant history and the breadth of cultures that call our state home.

An Adelaide Parklands Guided Walk will be running this month for those interested in South Australian ecology and biodiversity.

This tour runs for two hours and covers the eastern parklands, including the Adelaide Zoo, a sculpture park, and the River Torrens.

Bring along your walking shoes and make your way to the eastern parklands on September 14 at 2pm.

We’re sure you’ve heard — the Adelaide Crows have made it into the AFL finals.

Devastatingly, the final clash against Collingwood has sold out — but not all hope has been lost.

Check out if your local pub or bar will be screening the Adelaide Crows v Collingwood game… or head to Adelaide’s CBD on the evening of September 4 for a lively night of football and friends.

The City of Adelaide will be holding Scents of Place: A Guided Journey, a tour of the Central Markets and Chinatown.

The journey will be led by scent specialist Erin Adams, who discusses how the smells at these iconic locations shape memory, flavour, and our sense of belonging.

From fragrant spices to deliciously sweet honey, be prepared to stop and smell the flowers… literally.

This event will be held on September 25 and September 26.

The Adelaide Camera Expo is the state’s largest annual photography event and is held by Adelaide’s oldest camera store, PhotoCo Camera House.

This expo will be held on September 20 and 21, with the first day dedicated to interactive workshops and tours, while the second day will include industry talks, product demos and networking opportunities.
